Co-Founder Anthony Hutton was delighted to represent Subterranean Software at the 80th-anniversary celebration of the Construction Employers Federation and the Institute of Water Northern Ireland held at Stormont earlier this September. The anniversary marked eight decades of progress and partnership across Northern Ireland’s construction and water industries, bringing together leaders, innovators, and partners from across the sector.
The event featured a fantastic showcase and presentation of the Belfast Siphons project, a major refurbishment of the century-old underground sewer pipes beneath the River Lagan, designed to safely transfer wastewater from east Belfast to the main treatment works. Subterranean’s partners Good Friday Robotics, Environmental Techniques and Dawson WAM presented the project. Subterranean was pleased to assist in the delivery and presentation of the survey data for the project.
It was a privilege to attend such an inspiring event, a remarkable demonstration of how cutting-edge engineering, visionary collaboration, and forward-thinking innovation are driving the evolution of shared water infrastructure across Northern Ireland and beyond. Events like this highlight the power of collaboration and shared purpose, principles that continue to guide our work toward safer, data-driven inspection and infrastructure innovation.
